Greater DC Cares depends on generous individuals and community-minded companies to fund our programs so that nonprofits do not have to pay for the resources they receive from us.
Help us achieve measurable results!   With support like yours , last year we:

• Helped build the capacity of 115 nonprofit organizations in areas such as technology, fundraising and human resources by connecting them with skilled volunteers.
• Provided more than 4,000 hours of manpower to hundreds more local nonprofits by organizing and managing 1,000 hands-on volunteer projects.
• Provided approximately 36,000 meals to people who are homeless or living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.
• Strengthened more than 100 nonprofit boards of directors by training and placing business executives to serve.
• Improved the lives of children by building a playground in a public housing project.
• Helped more than 200 local nonprofits and public schools upgrade and beautify their facilities by making it possible for them to borrow from our “tool lending library,” The Community Tool Chest.

• $15 allows Greater DC Cares to organize a morning of food delivery to homebound individuals.
• $100 allows us to purchase supplies to paint one classroom at a public school.
• $1,000 allows us to install a computer lab at a job placement center engaging volunteer technology professionals.
