Thank you to all who participated in this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday of Service.

It was a huge success!

  • Almost 400 volunteers joined us in our efforts at four DC Public Schools;
  • We painted hallways, classrooms, kitchens and bathrooms;
  • We unpacked donated books and organized them in a library so elementary school children have many new books to read;
  • We engaged volunteers and community members in an educational forum about issues facing DC Public Schools; and
  • We had a great time doing it!

Thanks again to Target and Marriott for sponsoring the event and helping to make it great.

We are looking forward to seeing you again next year!

Did you have fun at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday of Service? If so, join us on May 3, 2008 for Servathon, our largest day of service, where 3,000+ volunteers join together to renovate 30-60 DC Public Schools. Find out more today!
