Greater DC Cares’ “My Business Cares”™ Seal of Approval acknowledges socially responsible businesses in the Washington region and the impact they have in making our communities great places to live and work!

Like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, the My Business Cares™ Seal offers your company a highly visible way to communicate its commitment, announcing to clients, prospects, employees and the general public that it has been recognized for its philanthropy in our region.  Companies that have earned the Seal proudly display it on their websites and in their promotional materials.

Criteria for My Business Cares™ Seal

Small- or Medium-sized Businesses
No more than 50 employees or $20 million in annual revenue – will be awarded the Seal if it does at least one of the following activities:

• Provides employees time off to volunteer during work hours
• Donates a minimum of $25,000 annually to local 501(c)(3) organizations.
• Donates in-kind goods or services to local 501(c)(3) organizations valued at $10,000 or more.

Large Businesses
More than 50 employees and $20 million in annual revenue – will be awarded the Seal if it does at least two of the following activities:

• Performs at least 1,350 hours of volunteer service per year during work hours. Donates a minimum of $250,000 annually to local 501(c)(3) organizations.
• Donates in-kind goods or services valued at $65,000 or more to local 501(c)(3) organizations.
