Support Greater DC Cares

Greater DC Cares holds special events throughout the year that nonprofits, volunteers and businesses participate in. We’d like to share with you the accomplishments and successes of recent events such as Servathon 2007, our marathon days of community service.

We also want to let you know what events are coming up so that you can get involved, including the 10th Anniversary Greater Washington Business Philanthropy Summit (we’ll obviously move this to recent events after the Summit). and the “Spark-a-Change” Legacy Award Gala in the fall.

We work hard to make an impact on the health of our region and we’re proud that our efforts have been acknowledged with a number of awards. Most recently, we received the Washington Home Volunteer Partnership Award in recognition of our commitment to its mission.

And we are pleased that the media often feature our work and our dedication to solving key social needs in the region. In May Bob Madigan, “Man About Town” for WTOP radio, did an interview with volunteers who were participating in Servathon 2007 and encouraged listeners to sign up.
