Easy and flexible. Greater DC Cares matches your skills with a nonprofit’s specific needs. We also help manage the projects to ensure you have a great experience.

Tailored opportunities. We offer three options for pro bono consultants: Individual Consulting, COMPASS (MBA graduates), and Executive Service Corps (business executives).

Business Executives. Current and retired business executives, you can offer your expertise through our Executive Service Corps program. You can offer your their knowledge and proven problem-solving skills to help build the capacity of nonprofits in our region.

MBA Graduates. As an MBA alumni from schools including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Tuck and Chicago, you can volunteer your services and expertise through our COMPASS program. You can provide nonprofits with assistance in Board Development, Strategic Alignment and Funding Strategy. Learn more about COMPASS.

How to volunteer. To volunteer as an individual consultant or with ESC, sign up NOW for our one-hour orientation, and you can become a volunteer with Greater DC Cares Pro Bono Consulting Program. You can also sign up to volunteer with our Executive Service Corps program if you’ve got business expertise. Once you’ve completed orientation, we’ll forward you opportunities on a regular basis. COMPASS provides a separate orientation for its volunteers.
