Would you like an opportunity to learn best practices from nonprofit colleagues on implementing volunteer programs and managing volunteers? Greater DC Cares invites you to join the DC Volunteer Coordinator’s Council (DCVCC).
What the DCVCC does. At these roundtable discussions, representatives of nonprofits from Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia share information and hear from industry experts.
What the DCVCC covers. Topics include volunteer retention, volunteer orientation and ways to recruit a diverse volunteer pool. Nonprofits participating in the Council work with a variety of populations, interest areas and communities.
When and where do meetings take place? DCVCC meetings take place quarterly at Greater DC Cares’ headquarters in the Greater Washington Collaborative building at 1725 I Street, NW, Washington, DC.
How do members communicate with each other? In addition to attending meetings, member organizations can also post information, articles, forms, links and other resources that may be helpful to their colleagues through a Yahoo groups page.
Your organization does not have to be a Greater DC Cares nonprofit partner to participate in the DCVCC.
Become a partner! However, if you’re not currently a partner, we invite you to become one and enjoy all the benefits we offer. Sign up NOW for an orientation to get the process started!
